Yesterday, my dog of 16 years, Penny (a.k.a. Stumpy, Pene-lope and silly-old-tart), was put to sleep at a vetinary clinic. She was in an advanced state of kidney failure, and suffering from liver damage. We decided it was the best thing we could do for her.
